Mindless Distortion productions originated in 2008 with a crew of roughly three people. Starting off strong with the Gray Team series, [md] began to make a name for itself in the dramatic machinima field. Still below the main-stream surface of machinima productions, [md] continued to create machinima for whoever wanted to watch. Throughout the course of production, however, technical issues arose which caused the crew to stop making machinima.
In 2009, Atomic (A10M1C – Jason Broussard), tried to make a come back. He teamed up with his main partner Marc Swint and created the pilot to a first person thriller series called SOLILOQUY . Time became an issue, and a second episode was never released. During the period of waiting production on the second episode, however, a comedic machinima short called I Can Haz Help? was released. This has become [md]‘s most acclaimed video due to its comedic appeal.
In 2011, [md] founder, Jason Broussard, vowed to continue a new product and release high quality machinima to the public. Discussion and plans of a Gray Team spin-off were in the works, but the project was put on hold to begin a new mini-series entitled TOXIN.
